Module 1 - Requirements & Qualities

So what are the requirements needed to become cabin crew? There are many misconceptions about what is needed, so we have put together the requirements for most airlines.

Module 2 - The Importance of teamwork

Whilst on board the aircraft you will be faced with many situations that would require you to communicate and work in teams. This would involve not only cabin services i.e. a drinks service but would also include any emergency situation that may arise.

Before the passengers embark on the aircraft, the crew must work in a team to ensure that the aircraft is ready for passengers to board. Whilst in-flight team work within the Galley area is also vital to make sure that all of the meals and services are delivered on schedule

Module 3 - The importance of Personal presentation

You are the face of the airline and your standards of presentation should therefore be very high. Airlines spend a lot of money on their cabin crew uniforms and require you to wear it with pride to enhance the reputation and image of the airline. Because you will be coming into close contact with passengers, personal hygiene is very important. Keep a wash bag with you during a flight containing, mouth wash, deodorants/antiperspirants, makeup for ladies, hair styling products and a comb or brush.

Module 4 - New Starters & Entrant Course

When a letter informing you that you have been successful in getting a cabin crew position with your chosen airline is sitting on your door mat or you have just received a phone call giving you the good news, your life is about to take a completely new direction and the hard work is about to start.

Module 5 - Understanding the role

In this module you will understand exactly why cabin crew are on board an aircraft and some of the duties they perform in a typical flight.

Module 6 - Selling Duty Free & Currency

Selling duty free is an often occurrence whilst working as cabin crew member and a great way in bumping up your annual salary as you will earn commission on sales that you make. Each airline offers different commission structures and incentives, typical commission is around 1-2% of the total sales you have made over a month.

Module 7 - Understanding the Layout

This module is designed to help you understand the basics of a commercial aircraft. During your SEP training you will learn everything you need to know about all of the aircrafts that you will be flying on, including where all of the safety and emergency equipment is stored and how to use it if needed.

Module 8 - Cabin Crew Safety and Emergency

Ask anyone what a cabin crew member does and they will tell you they pour tea and coffee. Realistically though, you will only poor tea and coffee for 10 minutes on the average 3 hour flight.

People may laugh, joke or simply ignore safety, but when emergency is announced- there is only one person on that aircraft who they will then listen to.

In this module you will learn about the different types of emergency equipment that may be used by cabin crew and what they are used for in the event of an emergency situation.
