Organised weekly Business courses with companies, ranging from well known Swiss companies such as Bobst, Sicpa, Matisa, FEDPOL to major international companies like Mcdonalds, Philip Morris, International Olympic Committee.
The level for students studying Business English modules are between B1 and C1, therefore, students prefer to use the courses as an opportunity to improve their spoken language, vocabulary, fluency and to make the lessons as realistic as possible. Therefore, ESTC organise role plays, students use the lesson as a springboard to prepare for their next presentation, meeting, etc. Also use tools such as the radio,listen to, analyze and discuss various authentic and relevant business topics.
Discuss the operational side of business. Students come from a range of departments, IT, marketing, production, logistics, accounts, etc. They discuss a whole scope of subjects, new projects, how each department interacts with one another, the pros and cons of technology, different work methods, work ethics, dealing with cultural differences, laws, corporate responsibility, etc.Also discuss current affairs, such as the banking crisis and its effects on the economy.
With considerable work experience in England, we are able to compare the British business set-up with Swiss or international companies, and implement challenging ideas and arguments during the lesson.
